TF: SFxSS - Techno Station
Skyfire sat at the bar of an old, beat up club, a cube of low-grade energon wrapped in his servo. He stared down at it with a tired, worn out expression. Truth was, the poor shuttle was simply bored. Over the last few cycles, his partner had been busying himself around the lab, working himself into recharge with his new rock samples, chemical reactions and new experiments he needed to test out. Leaving Skyfire absolutely hopeless, with no one to talk to and nothing to do.
"Hey now, what's a handsome mech like you doing in a down beat place like this, hm?" Skyfire twisted in his stool to stare at the small red flier who had acknowledged him.
For a flier, grace is key in flight. To fight against the harsh wind, or to simply fall against the gentle caress and let it carry them off. However, sometimes, it was best to be in control of the sky, to feel in control of the galaxies surrounding.
For Starscream the key for flying was to be the sky, there was no dominance and certainly no submission on his part. He would be who he was created to be, and the sky would merely be a guide for that. Before there were Decepticons and before Starscream had to fight himself a place amongst them, there was freedom, and Science for the eager flier. Freedom beyond his home, beyond the other mechs tha

Starscream thought he'd covered himself well when he saw Thundercracker (blast him!) duck under his shot, the null ray's purple beam driving straight into Skyfire's white chest plating. Thundercracker would pay, and pay dearly, for his cowardice. More for what his cowardice had made Starscream do. His capacitor had entirely dropped current, his laser c
"Absolutely astounding." Perceptor said with awe, staring at the small sparkling. "It seems his wings are growing faster than his entire frame is."
Skyfire smiled, gently poking a small wing that jutted out from his even smaller sparkling, causing him to squeak. "Our wings are top priority. I remember my wings being overly huge until I got my next upgrade as a youngling and got much larger."
Perceptor watched as the red and white sparkling reached out with a blue hand and he allowed his finger to be grabbed and pulled on with a grin. "He's certainly going to have problems with balance until then."
The shuttle hummed, "Thankfully he won't h

And I don't know why Skyfire does these monologues in my head. And I don't know why he speaks this way. But he does.

There are things we never dare to show to anyone. Things that are too precious and too awful. Everyone, I've found, has at least one. We think it's a dangerous key that would unlock all that is unlovable about us. Because we each believe that if someone could see us deep, deep inside, they would find us repulsive. They would see us as our weaknesses and nothing more. Messy creatures, we are, made of oil and lubricant, grease gumm

Skyfire insisted on going to the park the minute I walked in the door. I tried giving him my best tired-student glare, but the big mutt wouldn't even budge on the matter. That's how I ended up at the park on a Friday evening, sprinting after my stupid dog.
'Skyfire, get back here!'
The mutt wasn't listening, obviously. Instead, he raced away with the leash, nearly bowling over a lady pushing a stroller. I winced at the glare she shot me as I ran past her.
'Starscream, how did you get up there?' a voice hollered ahead of me.
Skyfire, wonderful mutt that he is, appeared to have chased a
